Were you fortunate enough to be part of the Daingerfiled/Lone Star shool district? If so, the experiences and friendships from your class can be rekindled through a new…and FREE…website maintained by one of our own classmates. Ken Nix is hosting Daingerfield Tigers, a site much like reunion.com and classmates.com, but exclusively for DHS alumni.
We went to Lone Star for Independence ‘week’. As usual, most of the cousins were in for the holiday. As usual, there was no shortage of food. Oddly enough, the weather was a bit out of character. I believe we had 5 days of weather below 90 and it even rained a little those days. That didn’t last long enough. The last few days were hot and humid. Gotta love Texas weather! I got some good photos the first few days, but my camera battery died and I forget the charger. See them in the Vacation area.
We have a new album posted in the Vacation area. Lots of horses, big sky and fresh air! If you are thinking of visiting the Texas panhandle, I suggest a stop at Caprock Canyon; home of the Official Texas State Bison Herd!
It appears most of the data from the family tree made it back. If you have editor privileges, please login and make sure your account still works. Other than that, I believe the build is finished. Let me know if you find anything else that needs to be fixed.
Made some coding changes so I can generate dynamic posts to this area instead of manually updating the index page. Changes posted to the news area should be displaying in descending order by date (that’s latest news first).
Major work to redesign the site is underway. Please bear with me during the reconstruction. This will be a complete rebuild, including all my data, so there will be plenty of opportunity for correction. Use the contact link below if you find anything messed up.
